18,3 of the 19 billion drams allocated for the energy sector in 2024 has been spent, a performance of 96,2%, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Davit Khudatyan told lawmakers on Monday.

14,2 billion was used for one of the biggest projects pertaining to energy system development.

The construction of the Iran-Armenia 400kW power transmission line and the substation is also in active phase, Khudatyan told lawmakers during a parliamentary committee meeting on the budget report. “Nearly 80% of the work has been completed,” the minister said.

The construction of the 55MW Masrik-1 solar power station is also completed. It has been connected to the power grid for tests.
