Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko, stated that relations between Russia and Armenia are not experiencing a crisis of trust.
"You know, there are widespread claims that there is a crisis of trust between Russia and Armenia. I do not share that feeling. On the contrary, Armenia, like us, has shown interest in further developing our bilateral cooperation," Matviyenko noted.
She assured that “there are no problems in the relations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.”
“The Prime Minister (ed. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan) conveyed his greetings to our President (ed. He has no issues in his relationship with the President,” Matviyenko elaborated.
She stressed that in various difficult situations between Armenia and Russia, the leaders of both countries always find mutual understanding and necessary solutions.
