President Khachaturyan receives members of the "Young European Ambassadors" initiative

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Vassilis Maragos, along with members of the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) initiative at the Presidential Palace.

According to the Presidential Office, welcoming the Ambassador and the young ambassadors, President Khachaturyan praised the initiative’s activities, describing them as a reflection of the close cooperation between Armenia and the European Union and as an important stimulus for further development.

He highlighted the YEAs initiative's special role as a bridge between Armenian and European youth, stressing the importance of such programs in promoting integration processes, education, and youth involvement.

During the meeting, the YEAs presented their initiatives in an open and engaging dialogue, aimed at spreading European values in Armenia and raising public awareness about democracy, democratic institutions, the rule of law, and human rights. They also discussed the work carried out with young people living in the regions, highlighted the implementation of joint programs and the steps taken to study the cultures of national minorities in Armenia.

The young ambassadors emphasized the importance of intercultural dialogue and the promotion of mutual understanding as foundations for peace and cooperation.

 At the conclusion of the meeting, participants addressed questions to the President, discussing topics including the education sector, Armenia-EU integration, the development of the public administration system, and other current issues and potential solutions.
