Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh said that the Iranian side is planning a visit by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Yerevan.
During a briefing with journalists within the framework of the "Yerevan Dialogue-2025" international forum, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that relations between the two countries are at a very good level, with mutual visits at the highest diplomatic level taking place.
The Iranian FM said five more official delegations are scheduled to visit Armenia this week, while also recalling that the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, visited Iran last week.
“We are currently planning the visit of the head of state to Yerevan. Political consultations are ongoing between the two capitals. As for economic relations, they are at a very high level, and in the near future, with the implementation of a zero percent interest rate on transportation, economic cooperation will see rapid growth,” the Iranian official noted, adding that strong cooperation has also been established in the field of advanced technologies.
According to the Deputy Minister, ties between the two peoples in tourism, culture, and other areas of cooperation are continuously developing.
“I hope that after overcoming certain obstacles, especially following the signing of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, we will be able to implement many projects and programs that have so far remained unrealized,” said Saeed Khatibzadeh.
