Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry, EU Ambassador visit Engineering City

On May 12, Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, together with the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Vassilis Maragos, visited Engineering City (EC).

According to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, Minister Hayrapetyan and Ambassador Maragos, accompanied by the Chairman of the Board of the Engineering Association, Aram Salatyan, and the Director of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation, Bagrat Yengibaryan, toured Engineering City. Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Ruben Simonyan also participated in the visit.

The Ambassador was introduced to the main areas of Engineering City’s activities, ongoing programs and initiatives. He was also familiarized with the existing infrastructure, the planned High-Technology Accelerator, the National Supercomputer Center, and the activities and products of companies already operating within Engineering City. 

The parties exchanged ideas on new opportunities and directions for cooperation and reached agreements on future steps.

Engineering City is a public-private partnership initiative implemented by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), with the essential and active support of the Government of Armenia, represented by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, in cooperation with the Engineering Association and several private companies.

Currently, Engineering City hosts 30 engineering and high-tech organizations and employs 350 specialists, primarily experienced engineers.
